Communication performance should be assessed separately from the programme’s actual environmental or social outcomes, which require their own evidence and methodology.
A practical example
Rather than making a broad claim about reduced impact, an organisation can explain the activity measured, the reporting period, the basis of comparison and any limitations. A future commitment should be identified as a target with the relevant context. This is an illustrative approach.
